Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the "Note on the responsible party" section of this privacy policy.
How do we collect your data?
On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to us. This could be data that you enter into a contact form, for example. Other data is automatically collected or collected after your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. This is mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page access). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.
What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior. If contracts can be concluded or initiated via the website, the transmitted data is also processed for contract offers, orders or other order requests.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. You also have the right to request the restriction of processing your personal data under certain circumstances. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Hosting
The provider is IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur (hereinafter IONOS). When you visit our website, IONOS collects various log files including your IP addresses. Details can be found in IONOS's privacy policy: https://www.ionos.de/terms-gtc/terms-privacy
The use of IONOS is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in displaying our website as reliably as possible. If appropriate consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 Para. 1 TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. The consent can be revoked at any time.
Data processing agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law that ensures that this service processes the personal data of our website visitors only according to our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
General information and mandatory information
Data protection
The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. When you use this website, various personal data is collected. Personal data is data that can be used to personally identify you. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens. We point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Note on the responsible party
The responsible party is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).
Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period has been specified within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate deletion request or revoke consent for data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. tax or commercial retention periods); in the latter case, deletion occurs after these reasons cease to apply.
SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries or job applications that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Your rights as a data subject
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Right to object to data collection in special cases (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6 PARA. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENSE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 1 GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged violation. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies. The supervisory authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen).
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.
Information, correction and deletion
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this and other questions on the subject of personal data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing exists in particular if you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, if the processing was unlawful, if we no longer need your data but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, or if you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 Para. 1 GDPR and it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail. If processing has been restricted, this data may - apart from its storage - only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest.
Data collection on this website
Cookies and consent banner
This website uses cookies and comparable technologies (storage of or access to information on the end device) only to a limited extent. Services that are not technically necessary (see section "Analytics tools and advertising") are only activated after you have given your consent via our consent banner. Your selection is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so that it does not have to be requested again on future visits; this storage is technically necessary (Section 25 Para. 2 No. 2 TDDDG). Your consent decision is documented to fulfill our obligation to provide evidence pursuant to Art. 7 Para. 1 GDPR (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting the website data (localStorage) for this website in your browser and making your selection again.
Server log files
When you visit this website, information is automatically stored in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are: the page accessed and time of the server request, browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL and your IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources.
The collection is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation, stability and security of our website, in particular for detecting and defending against attacks and misuse. The log files are regularly deleted as part of automatic rotation.
Contact form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively processing inquiries directed to us (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - especially retention periods - remain unaffected.
Inquiry by email, phone or fax
If you contact us by email, phone or fax, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.
The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - especially statutory retention periods - remain unaffected.
Application procedure
We offer you the opportunity to apply for advertised positions or to submit an unsolicited application via the application form on our website. Below we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of the personal data collected as part of the application procedure. We assure you that your data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions, and that your data will be treated as strictly confidential.
Scope and purpose of data collection
If you apply via our application form, we process the associated personal data: first and last name, email address, telephone number (if provided), your message, your CV uploaded as a PDF file and, where applicable, your answers to position-specific additional questions. In addition, we store the time of your application and your IP address exclusively in pseudonymized form (cryptographic hash value); this makes it impossible for us to recalculate your IP address. Uploaded files are automatically checked for malware before storage; no analysis of their content takes place in this process.
Legal basis
We process your applicant data for the purpose of conducting the application procedure and deciding on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 Para. 1 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) (initiation of an employment relationship). The pseudonymized storage of your IP address is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in preventing misuse of the application form (e.g. automated mass requests).
Special categories of personal data
We ask you to refrain from including special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 Para. 1 GDPR (e.g. health data, religious beliefs, ethnic origin) in your application documents unless they are necessary. If you nevertheless voluntarily provide us with such data, its processing is based on Art. 9 Para. 2 lit. b GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 Para. 3 BDSG insofar as it is necessary for exercising rights or fulfilling legal obligations under employment law (e.g. disclosure of a severe disability), and otherwise on your express consent (Art. 9 Para. 2 lit. a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Recipients and storage location
Your applicant data is processed exclusively by the persons responsible for conducting the application procedure at our company. It is not passed on to third parties. The data, including uploaded files, is stored on systems operated by us at our hosting provider (see section "Hosting") and is not transmitted to external applicant management or cloud services. Transmission is encrypted (TLS).
Note: You can request the early deletion of your application at any time; to do so, please use the contact details provided in the section "Note on the responsible party".
Data retention period
Your application data will be automatically deleted no later than two months after receipt of the application; this also includes the uploaded files. Retention for this period is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR) in being able to defend ourselves against any legal claims (in particular obligations to provide evidence under the German General Equal Treatment Act, Section 15 AGG, Section 61b ArbGG). If the application procedure results in employment, the necessary data will be further processed for the purposes of the employment relationship (Section 26 Para. 1 BDSG). Mandatory statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
Analytics tools and advertising
On this website we use the analytics and marketing services described below. These services only set cookies or store or read identifiers on your end device after you have given your consent via our consent banner. For this purpose, we use Google Consent Mode v2 with the default setting "denied": before you give your consent, no cookies are set and no device-related identifiers are stored; however, consent-free, cookieless technical signals may be transmitted to Google that are not assigned to any individual user. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future (see section "Cookies and consent banner").

According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not store complete IP addresses; transmitted IP addresses are truncated at the point of collection.
The use is based exclusively on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 Para. 1 TDDDG; consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.
In the course of use, data may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA. The data transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), under which Google is certified; in addition, standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission are used. Details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/
The data stored by Google at user and event level is deleted after 14 months at the latest. For details, please refer to Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Google Ads and conversion tracking
We use Google Ads, an online advertising program of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and in this context so-called conversion tracking. This allows us to recognize whether a user has performed certain actions on our website after clicking on an ad placed by us (e.g. sent an inquiry). We do not receive any information that allows us to personally identify individual users.
The use is based exclusively on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 Para. 1 TDDDG; consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
In the course of use, data may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA. The data transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), under which Google is certified; in addition, standard contractual clauses are used.

Clarity records in pseudonymized form how visitors use our website (including mouse movements, clicks and scrolling behavior in the form of so-called session replays and heatmaps) in order to improve the usability of our website. Clarity is only loaded after you have given your consent via the consent banner.
The use is based exclusively on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 Para. 1 TDDDG; consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Microsoft.
Data may be transferred to Microsoft servers in the USA. Microsoft is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). Further information can be found in Microsoft's privacy statement: https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement
