Starting point
DuoByte built a regional appointment exchange for Praxisnetz Nürnberg Süd that makes available capacity across medical practices, psychotherapists, medical care centers and hospitals easier to use. Instead of coordinating appointments by phone or fragmented contact chains, members publish available slots centrally and find suitable offers by date, time, specialty and appointment type.
Implementation
Doctors manage practice profiles, specialties and custom appointment types, create conflict-free slots and book capacity for individual patients through list, calendar and month views. Race-safe booking logic prevents double bookings, assigns provider and booking practices unambiguously and sends automated confirmations to both sides.
Quality & operations
For every successful referral, the platform creates sequential invoice numbers, stores two role-specific PDF invoices and makes them available to the participating practices in a protected download area. Email verification, administrative member approval, role-based permissions, address autocomplete and Docker/Nginx deployment provide a secure and maintainable foundation for the network’s daily operations.
